Pros

Good people in certain areas that are willing to help

Cons

I'm not sure about other departments, but sales is a very unpleasant experience . Pay has been cut considerably going into 2022, nearly in half. Other traveling sales job's offer a far more competitive pay plan. The quality of the product has taken a hit, and the new product they offer is not great. The care is completely gone across the board. It's time to start looking for a new job unless management can address these issues. I haven't been in this job very long, but long enough to know my hard work will be rewarded elsewhere.

Thank you for providing your feedback. We continually evaluate performance versus company expectations, versus others at the company in the same or similar roles, the competitiveness of our product in the market along with the competitiveness of our pay structure. Throughout 2021 as a result of significant improvements in sales process, sales skill, tools and training, and product features, the expected performance for our team has increased along with the “tiering” needed to attain various levels of compensation. As we interview and hire people for our outside sales team we communicate expected total earnings (OTE) for base + commission of $110-120k/year and the 1Q2022 plan forecasts our average outside sales person to be in the $150-160k/year range based on actual 2021 performance. The top 25% of our team earns Substantially more than this. The commission structure for the majority of our sales team remains uncapped, base compensation has not been modified and benchmarking against competitors in our industry shows that we continue to offer compensation that is at the very top of the market pay scale. Also, as with any growing, customer-centric business, we continually evaluate our product offerings and the tools that our teams use to bring these products to market. Over the past year we have dramatically improved upon our market-leading product offerings by doing things like approving more customers for higher credit lines and with a shorter application than our competition. We have also improved the sales tools, marketing support and training available to our associates. As a result we have increased production across the company and raised performance expectations for our teams as we continue to grow. - Bill, Chief Revenue Officer

Pros

Company culture is great. Monthly food trucks, CEO bringing hot donuts around, snacks and coffee in the office, good pay, good PTO. For the most part everyone is friendly.

Cons

The sales team is a mess, which is usually the case at any company, but seemed even more messy at WC. Management has a workaholic mentality and expects employees to act the same. Weekend emails, come in early and stay late, need to do over 40 hours. Working Christmas Eve. Burn out real quick, nothing is ever good enough, nothing will make them happy. Internal job openings are limited and the ones that are open require a lot of specific experience. No working from home. Micromanaging. Management isn’t knowledgeable on process or policy, usually have to ask a coworker or higher up. Very limited diversity on the team. Your experience at WC will definitely depend on which department you’re in.

Pros

You get to build your resume

Cons

Over worked. Toxic environment. They treat sales people like they’re the holy almighty ones and everyone else is dirt. They will use you and your skills without compensation and then throw you out once they’ve gotten what they’ve needed. I’ve seen countless amazing people get fired, simply because the C team had a friend they wanted in the position instead. The amount of harassment that occurs is mind blowing.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear your experience with Koalafi has not been positive. We know that recent market layoffs have been difficult and that seeing teammates leave is always hard. We take your feedback about compensation to heart as we continuously assess our roles to market to ensure we are compensating fairly and competitively. Additionally, we take harassment very seriously and would appreciate any additional information you’d be willing to share. Thank you
