      Great place to learn your foundational principles, but you will outgrow the workplace politics

      Pros

      - I got lucky when I joined and joined a really fun project with supportive talented people. I was mentored by some senior developers who I still talk to and I thank them for teaching me the right things. - I realize after joining a few teams and companies over the years that I am ahead of the curve when it comes to production development practices. I equate this to the strong foundational skills and practices I learned from the get go. - The people you meet here are those you will keep in touch for many years even after you leave. - It’s a great stepping stone. This place will open doors for you. Virtually everyone I’ve met here have moved on to other companies, leading successful careers, moving to different countries, etc.

      Cons

      - The office is very culty. - At the end of the day, the workplace politics got to me. It’s a bit of a “boys club”, which is not tolerable in a professional setting. - I think that the salary range was too low for me to justify staying. Especially in Toronto where costs are higher and higher every day. - Some projects are very boring using some old languages and frameworks. Pray you don’t land in them. - Internal promotions and raises are very politically charged. Doesn’t have anything to do with your performance.
