Outdated on every front, look elsewhere

Pros

The people you work with are the only upside.

Cons

Low pay, low end benefits, antiquated technology, disengaged leadership, complacent/dated company culture. Managers lack management skills. Leadership has no concept of employee satisfaction. The turnover rate speaks for itself. Unless you’re in sales, you aren’t of much value. Absolutely NO upward mobility, no recognition. The systems and processes are absurdly outdated and inefficient. No company of this magnitude should be operating this way in 2023. The lack of innovation, structure and standards kills morale. Working here is like going back in time even the HR practices aren’t up to date.

Opportunity to learn new skills but pay is horrible

Pros

If you enjoy learning new skills there definitely lots of opportunities to learn. Example is installing fixtures like ceiling fans and chandeliers.

Cons

If you’re not a sales 1 you can paid like a peasant. Even stockroom supervisors and display leads get screwed over with their pay. The amount of work we do in comparison to how much we get paid is honestly pathetic. Plus once a year you’ll be lucky to get a 50 cent raise. The people making these decisions are living in ignorance and don’t care about their employees.

Not a good company to work for

Pros

No education or degrees required. Health insurance is decent for a single person, not so much for spouses or families.

Cons

Years ago the company cared about its employees. HR was their to help and did so numerous times. Their culture has made a 180 turn. They care about profits for the owner and nothing more. There is no work life balance and they care not to even pretend about providing one. The commission pay for their employees is a joke. You can sell over a million dollars for the company and get get paid 40-50 thousand while the company rakes in the profits from that. Would not recommend to anyone. Very micro managed. You are just a number to management and the company and they treat you as such.
