Pros

A lot of the pros that Long had when they were a small company have dissipated.

Cons

Long does not appreciate a employee who has busted there butt for them, this can be seen by the high turnover of long term employees. The pay is horrible compared to other companies the size of Long, even if you have the experience. Be aware of the promises LONG makes, they DO NOT KEEP THEM. Long has been buying lots of companies and putting themselves in a bad financial situation. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, and then penalizing the employees that have worked hard, only to hear them say they are cutting back on new vehicles or a work boot allowance.

Some nice people work there.

Cons

Disjointed, management does not have realistic expectations of their employees.

Pros

Certainly if you know someone higher up, or if you are related to someone, you can do just about anything you want. But if you are not related, do not bring up that you are held to a higher expectation, or the good old boys club will distribute the information, and the father will do what they can to sour your reputation.

Cons

It's a lot like high school. If you don't get into a clique, people will say pretty much anything they want about you, and without you doing, or saying anything, any possibility of moving into a new department are quickly extinguished.
