Pros

My coworkers were great but I cannot think of twenty positive words for this company.

Cons

It's definitely a good ole boys club and who you know that helps you climb the ladder.

It is unfortunate to read this. LONG makes a big focus on employee training so our employees have the opportunities to gain the knowledge they need and desire, so in addition to yearly training and conference opportunities, we also offer tuition reimbursement. Though our turnover isn't very high, we do acknowledge that it is costly and do everything we can to maintain a positive overall environment for all employees. We pride ourselves on putting our employees first and making sure their needs are met across the board. Should an employee ever have a complaint, both the managers and HR maintain an open-door policy and take any complaints very seriously. LONG has been voted a Top Workplace in 2015 and 2016 by our employees and will continue to meet and exceed the needs of our employees and maintain the standard of excellence that helped us reach that level. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

The pay check was all that kept me going in every day....so good pay. Hiring HR is a pleasure to deal with even though onboarding is disorganized. Company vehicles are nice even though they are old and beat up.

Cons

Insurance is as cheep as it comes right on the edge of worthless. A hostile work atmosphere filled with foul language and sexist comments. No team approach with a "good ol boys" attitude prevailing. When I talked to the branch manager about he said "You need to be less sensitive" and "the leadership approach is like a football coach its your problem...you need to toughen up". I am not the type of person to ever sue an employer but you should hear some of the recordings I have on my phone (I took them just incase these they assaulted me physically, which I expected almost every day!) I was relived to be out of here as it wasn't my cup of tea.

We are saddened to hear such negative feedback. It is unfortunate to read this, as LONG’s HR team and all managers at every location work diligently every day to make sure our employees experience a positive, safe and fulfilling work environment. We pride ourselves on putting our employees first and making sure their needs are met across the board. Furthermore, we are always seeking ways to improve our employee experience and provide exceptional service to all our employees in all of our locations, and should there ever be any concerns of safety or respect, we maintain an open-door policy and address any concerns immediately with the utmost importance. LONG has been voted a Top Workplace in 2015 and 2016 by our employees and will continue to meet and exceed the needs of our employees and maintain the standard of excellence that helped us reach that level. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
