Worked with me to create a perfect schedule for my needs. Listens to feedback and implements change when appropriate. Supports career growth with great CE support and even sent me on a trip to Ecuador to work with World Vets!

Cons

Lakefield is about as "non-corporate" in their behavior as you can get. However, it does sometimes suck being lumped into the "corporate" category by some of my colleagues.

terrible 'PTO', no work/life balance

coworkers (techs and assistants) are wonderful people

Cons

no real PTO until you work there 3 years. get 40 hours (so 1 week) which is the state required 'sick leave". very short staffed. never leave on time, frequently 1-2 hours past end of shift. rarely get lunch at a reasonable time, if at all. often no breaks before 3pm (after starting at 7am), occationally no break at all. NO opportunities for career growth. They say they are different that other vet med corporations, but really it is all about $$$ and they do not care about employees, especially support staff.
