Toxic Work Environment

Pros

For the most part all of the nurses are really sweet! They work really hard and provide services with great results. I have made some lifetime friends from this company.

Cons

Although there are some pros, this company is a disaster. At first, working for them was great! However, I believe they grew too quickly to keep up with demands. The sales team is very pushy with potential clients, which I understand is how they make money but customers call and complain about how "scammy" it seems. Then when they manage to convince people to buy a service, they will double or even triple book the nursing staff. They do not care. There were girls that would say they haven't eaten or taken a bathroom break all day because they were double booked several hours in a row. Not only that, but clients would arrive on time for their appointments but because of the double bookings, they would end up being taken anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and half past their appointment time. We've had customers yell at us and straight up just walk out they were so frustrated and I can't blame them! The higher up in the chain of command you go, the more toxic it is. It felt like being in high school with the mean girls sometimes. They talk behind your back, gossip about you, start drama when there isn't any. It was so childish. Plus, they don't actually care about employees. I'm sure a lot of people would say that about their company, but on more than one occasion when it was brought to the attention of the higher ups that there is significant nurse turnover (because of the overloaded schedules) they said they did not care because it was actually cheaper for them to hire new nurses than retain experienced ones. I think that's appalling. You have people telling you they are physically drained from the double book schedules, but you don't care because it saves you a few dollars to just hire someone new every couple of months. If you think going to HR would help with any of this, you would be mistaken. HR is just as toxic. Their mindset is that its all about their bottom line. Again, I get it. A company needs to make money. However, when you bring a problem to HR and then they turn around and start telling everyone you're the issue, that's terrible. This is something that happened. Issues were raised and brought to the attention of HR and then the complainant was retaliated against and told she was the issue. The whole thing is backwards. Overall, just understand that this is a company that will value the dollar more than the employee in every way imaginable. Be prepared for a throwback to your high school days where the "cool girls" whisper about you behind your back. So far, most of the girls I've met through LaserAway have either quit or stated that this can't be a career for them because of the negative impact it has on their mental health.

Pros

You’ll meet some nice girls and you get a good discount and some free services after 90 days.

Cons

They lie to you about everything regarding the job to get you to join. Their system is horrible and crashes continuously. They have obvious favorites who are given clear advantages and tell you to call the old hot leads that literally have been called 50 times already. Customer will curse at you because they get harassed with too many calls because the system is flaws. A lot of the staff is very cut throat. There is no work life balance. They expect you to work 12 hour shifts. There’s no hourly wage. No PTO. And the whole environment is so FAKE with nonstop “YASSS QUEEN SLAYYYY” messages while they snake your sales the first chance the get. The culture is fake. They tell new hires youll be making 10-20k a month, there’s 15 people in the 500+ sales person staff that makes that much. The turnover rate is insane. They don’t care. I was hired and trained in a group of 18 and i am THE LAST ONE HERE and only because I am still looking for another job since I left a good career to come to this fake scam of a company. SAVE YOURSELF.

Soulless Job

Pros

If you are willing to trick people into loans for services that don’t work, you can make money

Cons

You will be berated for taking care of the customer and not taking profit into account first. If your manager is being racist, and they ask you to file a report to HR. They are expecting you to lie in defense of management. Treats employees who are black women terribly.
