Pros

The regional manager for LA North but she’s leaving so nothing

Cons

Where to even start…first off you would think that being a nurse your opinion or concerns would matter but it falls on deaf ears. All the company cares about is growing, making money, and over scheduling. A year ago before the changes started happening things were fine but now the company started rapidly growing and not caring about the nurses who actually assess and perform the treatments. The scheduling utilization is just so unrealistic and is brining out the nurses but the company doesn’t care because their number one priority is making money. Now let’s talk about in clinic. The so called location directors is a joke of a position especially for specific clinics (ex: Valencia) They have all the power of the clinic they manage and have these responsibilities that make no sense. Also they are in charge of the schedule and make it a mess and overload it just so they can receive a bonus for the utilization of it. So basically they receive a bonus for all the hard, physical labor that the RNs do. The Rns are at the bottom of the barrel there. Beware of the drama. It’s nothing but toxic and backstabbing females.

Pros

The people I work with. They are the reason why I am still hanging around.

Cons

I don't even know where to start since everyone else has made such great points on their company reviews. I used to love working here. It was a great company until you start to realize how money hungry this company is. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE NURSES. They only care about the sales team, why? Because they are the ones bringing in the money. They make more money than the medical team. Yeah I said it. What was the point of my degree if I make less money when I am the one doing the labor and have more liability doing my job. I have had to go to the chiropractor because of how much laser hair removal I have to do in a day. I came here to do everything including injectables, and I hardly get any in a day. If I get one a day its a blessing. I didn't want this job to just do laser hair removal all day. They think we just sit there and point a laser at patient's bodies and its just that. No. I am the one sitting there with my back aching, yelling over the loud machines to have a decent conversation with the patients. I am the one getting to know them and spending way more time with them. This company has made so many changes that has made our job less efficient. We used to be able to visually see the entire day's schedule (color coded blocks). Why is this less efficient now that it's gone? Well let me tell you, the clinic usually has multiple rooms with multiple usages. Unlike the newer clinics with rooms that are made for each individual treatment we have, the older clinics have to stuff multiple machines in there. God forbids if there is a tattoo removal appointment and someone is already in that room doing a long hair removal treatment, you literally have to knock on the door, ask them to stop mid treatment, and the patient has to leave to a different room carrying all their things wearing a little robe. The reason is to make sure the sales team can figure out their job without the nurses helping them fix the schedule when there are discrepancies. Doesn't the company want team work and collaborative work? Like if they really suck at their job, shoudn't their sales manager sit down and train them more? I don't get it. The company has protocols that were to help nurses be overworked. Example, lets say there was a 75-90 min hair appointment. The next one shouldn't be another hour long appointment. They should have something small in between. NOPE. They still have the protocols in place, but now they want to squeeze in as many patients into the schedule, not giving a toot about the nurses. I had two looooong appointments back to back and they allowed that to happen. It's so easy for the sales team to move their mouses and click things left and right to add people on, but that means less time for the nurses to thoroughly do their treatments. You're making me work more and not giving out yearly raises? Give me a break. You're telling us to focus on the patient in front of us, but shouldn't we look out for ourselves too? We are supposed to clock out for lunch before the 5th hour or else we get in trouble. How are we going to give quality treatment when our schedule is almost stacked to the brim. The only time we don't worry about our schedule being stacked is after our lunch and that's because we can go overtime. But not all nurses are in agreement with staying overtime. WE GOT THINGS TO DO. Maybe ask the nurses if they are ok with it first? We don't want to be forced to stay over the time if we are technically scheduled until a certain time. Nurses here don't get commission or tips. Ridiculous. If we upsell patients enough and get the appropriate amount of points we get a bonus. Either $100, $250, or $500. When we get paid out on that it gets taxed so much it is barely enough to pay for gas in this economy. Especially in California. The company is asking for positive reviews at THE WORST TIME to help with candidates for the job, but I'm not going to lie. I am going to be brutally honest.

No Respect for RN’s

Pros

-Free treatments -Getting experience with neurotoxin and Fillers as an RN without prior experience -AMAZING Nurses and sales staff

Cons

I was hired on as an RN to LaserAway and quickly noticed in the first few months that many of the clinics were short staffed due to nurses quitting. Most of the nurses I was working with had worked there around six months. The training is insanely quick and not in depth. Even for injectables which is scary for RN’s and patients. After you are trained you are thrown in to being booked with up to three patients with appointments occurring at the same time. I counted once and had four hours of treatments booked in my last two hours of the day. When these concerns are brought to management they basically say this is the new scheduling style they are using. Which basically leaves nurses rushing ( huge safety issue) and patients having to wait. They have a poor time of and sick time system. Basically both are combined into one bank. If you are sick and don’t have time off you will be written up. There are some amazing hard working sales staff that can help you out as a nurse. The majority however are unhelpful and push nurses to stay up with an impossible schedule. It’s a bummer because I’ve heard from other nurses that it used to be a great place to work. I definitely would not recommend working there or going there as a patient to be treated.
