Pros
Used to be Insurance , Job security, PTO
Cons
More and more cuts .Licensed staff expected to do office work, cleaning, calls, supplies, and multiple mandatory items without time given between patients to do clinical mandates. More and more budget cuts require more and more to be done during patient care, compromising care but you are responsible for patient being happy. licensed staff expected to do office work, cleaning, calls, supplies, and multiple mandatory items without time given between patients. More and more budget cuts require more and more to be done during patient care. If you don’t meet productivity or have a patient, you are sent home. However you can’t control if the office staff won’t take time to schedule the patients. Never know from day today how many hours You will work even though you are full-time staff an are obligated to them to be there a full shift. No loyalty to staff. No Job security, You are forced to use PTO if you are sent home, or if close for the holidays. Often vacation time is denied yet you have to use it. You are held to productivity but have no ability to control your patient load .. even if you meet your productivity, you will not even get a cost-of-living raise. Each Annual employee review are worded in a way that no matter how great , unless you work for free you will not get more than 1 to 2% raise. Have not even had a cost-of-living raise despite stellar evaluations for 8 years . Unfortunately they monopolize the market place and I aren’t many options, and they know it.
