Pros

Legacy works hard to be the best Health Care System in the region.

Cons

it's getting too big for it's own good. In it's growth, there has been a disconnect between management and employees: the front lines and the bottom lines. It really tries to do and be the best - which is great - but the sheer size of the system makes it so difficult for communication to work personally as well as professionally. I feel that there is an unspoken notion that one is not to get to know their managers, nor is there time granted to deal with teamwork or personnel issues.

Pros

-Flexible Schedule -Decent Base Salary -Friendly and Understanding Management (Mostly) -Talented Co-Workers -Supportive of Remote Work

Cons

-Very difficult to advance your career. There are few opportunities available. -If you do manage to advance to the next level of your career track the accompanying pay raise is typically disappointing. Usually a nominal 5-10%. -Yearly COL raises are pitifully low. They average 1.5% of the median of your pay range. So you're looking at a 0.75% yearly COL in a time when inflation is hitting a 6% increase each year. -All of these drawbacks taken together create an environment where "going above and beyond" is significantly disincentivized. And many people are simply keeping the lights on and collecting a paycheck. -The C suite executives have an extremely flat heirarchy which allows for far too much swirl in regards to decision making as well as a culture of finger pointing and "passing the buck" to a different executive/branch of the organization.
