Pros

I like that the CEO is a doctor, so he understands the needs of a healthcare system from the inside. Legacy has a lot of opportunities for advancement and really encourages employees to advance their practice and education.

Cons

I get pulled to other units frequently, but that might just be this hospital

Pros

Excellent company to work for the past 26 years and counting. Good pay and benefits package, forward-thinking management, excellent community-minded presence, and many top-notch doctors and nursing staff. I'm proud of the work we do here and believe we are doing excellent work.

Cons

Working in a small but critical department, it is at times difficult to arrange for vacation time. As a result, I have accrued many hours of paid time off, and would like to cash out some of the hours, but am unable to due to new policies. (Some of which are governmental, not Legacy's.)

Pros

The people seem to really care about working in healthcare. The Legacy mission is clear and I believe sincere. I have worked in the medical industry for quite sometime now and am relieved Legacy has stuck to it's "roots" as they continue to grow.

Cons

If I had to come up with a con it would be the daunting layers of checks and balances. However, this comes with any healthcare system, especially one as successful as Legacy.
