      Great Employer!

      Pros

      I work with a great group of people every day. The nurses and other staff I communicate with on a daily basis are always happy and friendly to me. I have been a nurse here for less than six months but feel very welcomed and supported by the team. Management seems truly committed to the success of employees and great patient outcomes.

      Cons

      I truly have a tough time thinking of cons for working here. The worst thing I deal with would be the traffic but that obviously has nothing to do with legacy. I work at the Emanuel campus and it is an older building and sometimes difficult for some patients to navigate. The rooms in the department I work in are small also.

      Paid well under market, good work/life balance

      Pros

      Thoughtful administration, great brand recognition and reputation.

      Cons

      Slow to change, HR controls all aspects of the employee's salary (well underpaid market value, not respectful of employee's background)
