      God company, but too consumed with cost savings

      Pros

      Good company with humble beginnings. High caliber people hence a challenging work environment. Lean, hence one does a lot.

      Cons

      Too lean, seem to have lost their way. Preached values aren't always practiced.

      Some good advantages: car with European fuel card, meal vouchers

      Cons

      Lhoist is a family owned company, led by invisible members that see workers as numbers. During my time in the HQ, I saw tens of people being fired on the day, for no understandable reasons. If one wants to stay there, they have to be as quiet as possible and never give their opinion. Non-flexible working hours/conditions. Appearances count more than the actual work you do.

      Pros

      Hard to name any. Salary might be market average, but absolutely not worth the mental toll.

      Cons

      Highly political environment that rewards bootlicking over actual performance. No time or space for real development — you're expected to deliver without support. Performance reviews are weaponized as leverage for dismissals. Constant pressure, lack of transparency, and a blame culture. Management shows little empathy or vision. Terrible for mental health — stressful, toxic, and unsustainable.
