Pros

Nothing I can think of

Cons

Company is a mess. Losing money every year, mass layoffs, reduction of almost all benefits. They claim raises and bonus' are based on merit, yet everyone gets the same 2-3% raise. Review process is horrible. When asked for feedback on what can be done to increase your bonus/raise, management tells you no one ever gets the highest grade and says youre doing a great job. So basically the review process is pointless. I wouldnt recommend working here let alone buy the product.

We appreciate your feedback. Due to the pandemic’s impact on the global fitness industry, we had to make a number of difficult but necessary decisions to ensure the business could navigate through this situation. Regarding the review process, we encourage a workplace that embraces frequent coaching and feedback between employees and managers. We strive to reward employees in ways that are meaningful to them. We are sorry to hear that you did not receive constructive feedback from this specific manager and would welcome an opportunity to discuss. Pros

Name recognition of established brands such as Life Fitness and Hammer Strength.

Cons

Over the last several years Brunswick purchased respected industry brands such as Hammer Strength, SciFit and Cybex. Unfortunately they severely harmed each company’s reputation through botched new product development and poor quality control. After sales plummeted each of the last three years, Brunswick sold off their entire fitness division to a private equity group. Chris Clawson was brought back as CEO, making him the fourth CEO (including his two stints) in three years. While Clawson has extensive CEO experience, the company’s precipitous sales decline started on his watch and led to his initial termination.

Thank you for your feedback. Though this is a very exciting time for Life Fitness, we recognize that we are in a transitional period and we have many exciting things to look forward to as we continue to improve. We have also made significant effort on our sales compensation plans over the past several years, prioritizing fair and data driven approaches that reward exceptional performance. We appreciate that you decided to share your talents with the Life Fitness team for over 5 years and wish you success in your current and future endeavors.

Pros

Exciting product and medical benefits are good.

Cons

Executive leadership not on the same page. Big egos. Strategy is unclear at the tactical level. Poor management training. Most have a what's in it for me attitude. Those that need to execute work very hard with constant changes in directions. Mid - Level management afraid to make decisions - or take way too long.
