The compensation for a Regional Sales Manger is excellent. Don't let the base salary scare you away, because the commission structure is great and the goals are achievable if you're a good sales person. During the year and a half I was there, I made six figures and was able to buy a condo at age 26...that's pretty impressive. You also get the opportunity to travel within the US (although they are a global company) to your territory and experience the different cultures state to state, as well as meet a ton of great people (clients, colleagues and vendor partners). The company is great about reimbursing travel expenses if anything comes out of your own pocket, and they have an awesome travel agent who books most of your travel for you. You'll also rack up a ton of hotel and airfare points since you book everything under your own frequent travel accounts, so that's a really great perk. The benefits are decent and you basically get 2 weeks off at the end of dec-first week of january for the holidays, plus the allotted amount of vacation time. Lightspeed takes very good care of their employees. I loved almost every single person I worked with in the Austin office, and still consider several of my colleagues from Lightspeed good friends. If you're willing to work hard, learn the products inside and out, and have the aptitude to understand technology, this will be the best sales job you've ever had.
