Pros

life changing work with people of all backgrounds, travel opportunities, themed days were fun, screening was effective, good opportunities for new mom's to work and bring their newborn, benefits for full-time employees

Cons

difficult to get full time hours during the school year, no formal training to work with students on the autistic spectrum with behaviors, very low pay considering the work that is done and it takes a lot to get a raise (after the "best summer ever" we all got a 16 cent raise), hiring clinicians can be difficult.

Pros

The Lindamood-Bell programs are amazing and truly work when implemented appropriately. The interaction with students is so rewarding. Positive atmosphere with lots of fun for students

Cons

Long hours, heavy focus on sales and upper management often forgets that the clients are far more important than the money.

Pros

- I got a lot of experience working with kids of all ages, many for whom having a learning disorders, psychological disabilities and emotional issue (though there were plenty of kids without these issues, to be sure). - You get teaching experience.

Cons

- Grossly underpaid given the vigorous speed/demand of the job. - The training process is inadequate and uneconomical in terms of time. - Very high stress/high pressure - Unless you're the type of person who constantly has high energy this job will be overwhelming.
