      Merger destroyed what was a good organization

      Pros

      Prior to the merger a great team environment existed where Managers were valued and treated with respect and supported.

      Cons

      Post merger all downhill. Unfortunately, Prax upper management was given control and these people only care about what they can add to their resume. Absolutely no Managerial training, no support for the middle managers, no customer values and the worst customer service I have ever seen!! Legacy Linde personnel don't stand a chance for any advancement, support, or job security. Pay and benefits were diminished or cut at every opportunity and they acted like you needed to thank them for screwing you. The difference between pre-merger Linde and Praxair is so diametrically opposite it is comical. Unfortunately the village idiots were given control and it has been all downhill since the integration of the two companies.

      Total corruption from ceo to mid level manager. Do not consider to waste your time.

      Pros

      New office and starbucks coffee. Diverse culture. Decent pay and health insurance options

      Cons

      Corrupted top man and his Indian buddy want their friends to rule the company. Racism is all around. Managers treat you like slave. During Harvey last year office closed for few days , and manager asked to come to work on weekends without pay to make up the Harvey closure. Managers lie in front of people without any hesitation. Getting certification is not covered and no bonus or respect for getting any certification. All the USA projects are being done by India and Germany while US workers wait for the work. Merger with Praxair makes it doubtful of houston office’s existence

      This is a terrible company

      Pros

      There is no pro working for this company. They are handling the merger terribly and most of the American employees are trying to escape this company.

      Cons

      They screwed the bonuses last year. Once you are hired, you will notice how they treat the German employees and American employees differently and they don't care. They screwed everyone's bonus last year and they don't care. Avoid this company as much as you can.
