Training Specialist

Pros

Little Leaves provides as a lot of good in depth training in a way that I've rarely seen in this field. The training makes you a confident worker and you feel comfortable asking questions when you're in doubt. I really liked my co-workers and some managment. This was a training specialist position, but I didn't jump into this position immediately. They first make you work as a BT for a few weeks, take IOA and once you pass, then you're trained as Training Specialist. They're very thorough and systematic about this training which I appreciated.

Cons

The biggest con of this position is the pay and the unpredictable schedule. The pay is lower than what other companies in the area pay and they're very up front about that in the interview. As far as the schedule goes, if you're not schedule to train a new BT or get a new client started, you may be covering for BTs that are sick or called out which I didn't particularly care for because that means you may work with a kid you haven't worked with in a long long time which can be difficult because sometimes you have very little time to read through their plan beforehand and you have to figure things out on the fly.

Pros

-Seeing the kiddos progress and being apart of something meaningful is the biggest pro of this job -some coworkers are supportive and friendly which makes it easier to get through long days -the benefits are a nice and the experience is great.

Cons

-there is favoritism for employees that are not professional and rude to their kids and coworkers both to their face and behind their backs. These employees have had “talks” with management and there are some who continue to move up despite having said things that are disgusting and cruel about their kids with little to no consequence. They openly talk about breaches to HIPAA to management without consequence as well. Multiple employees have complained about their behavior and the toxic work environment they create. -while the schedule has improved recently, it can still be pretty brutal. -the work can be pretty physically and emotionally taxing.

Pros

I’ve worked 3 companies. Little Leaves is my 3rd. The training is impeccable. I learned so much through the training alone. Integrity is a must and I can definitely say my integrity has grown since working here

Cons

Clique-ish. Which is gonna be found at ANY company. At least once you prove you know what you’re doing, they “let you in”. I really feel it’s to maintain instructional control so that behavior tech don’t get relaxed and slack on how they’re running programs. It’s uncomfortable at first but, focus on your tasks and maintain high treatment integrity and there will be nothing to worry about here. Everyone is for the growth of those we serve.
