Pros

Kids are great to work with. It is amazing to see thier progression.

Cons

No breaks during the day other than lunch. Hard to get a bathroom break and everything feels rushed.

Pros

Other RBTs are generally nice, kids are cute, guaranteed 30 hours/week, some supervisors are great at providing helpful feedback during RBT supervision time, do feel like you're making a difference for the kids, many of the parents are very nice and appreciate the RBTs

Cons

The schedule can change in the middle of the day with little warning, the higher level staff say they'll listen to concerns but things seldom seem to change, communication from higher level staff to RBTs is seriously lacking, some of the trainers can be rude and do not talk to you directly about concerns before going to a higher up over minor issues, generally short breaks, potential wage theft if it takes longer than ten minutes to set up your child's session (you only get paid for ten minutes), very high turnover rate for staff, lots of burnout

Pros

-Comprehensive training with high-level staff ensured I felt ready to do the job. -The new Director of the center was very kind and invested. -Paired new staff with a mentor whom you shadowed until you felt comfortable being on your own.

Cons

-Extremely high turnover rate (3 people quit in a month or less when I started). -Expected to take constant behavioral data while also delivering treatment and working with children simultaneously. -Very demanding job, I had worked as a BHT previously, and this still did not prepare me enough for this job.
