Pros

Tickets, fun atmosphere on every floor except finance and located in Central Hollywood

Cons

Low pay, high pressure, non-compliant co-workers, weak leadership and training, bad communication, review process not useful and the worst part is... everyone else is having fun while finance is putting in long hours, having a terrible life. For these reasons I left after one summer.

Pros

Worked with some great people Loved working in live events Helping others enjoy live events

Cons

I worked for LN for 8 years. I started as a seasonal employee in a small market. I worked hard and was promoted to a seasonal full time management position. This role was needed about 9 months a year. For some reason, LN was unwilling to make me a full time benefited employee. They could have found projects for me to work on in late October, November, and early December. After years of working on a "Salary" during the season and not being paid for my actual hours worked, I had to leave. There were some weeks, I'd work 100+ hours, but since I was being paid a "Salary", I only was paid for the straight 40 hours. I did this for years, because I figured LN would eventually make me whole. Well, after the 2015 season, I said goodbye to LN and found a permanent gig that far exceeds what I was doing. I love to see the 3 jobs that I was doing for LN are all on their website and unfilled. That's right, they are now hiring 3 different people to do what I was doing. GOOD LUCK!

Pros

Casual work environment, flexible working hours, accessibility to senior folks, and depending on your team, in my case, great teammates.

Cons

Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that the very senior executives at Live Nation have zero interest in retaining talent and has said as much through their actions by eliminating the 401k match, keeping salaries fixed year-over-year, proudly stating that annual reviews are just not done here, restricting bonuses to a few key C-level execs, and leaders purposefully dodging career development questions. I have never been more disappointed by the leadership of any organization than here at Live Nation. I advise prospective job seekers to pass on LN Corporate--it is not worth the heartache, abuse, and frustration. There is just simply no recognition, reward or opportunity for advancement. Promotions are not based on merit but rather haphazard chance. I have not even begun to scratch the surface of the discontentment across the organization and it is growing by the day. It really pains me to see such great talent wrangled in and left to waste-all because these executives truly think that there is an unlimited supply of stellar talent just waiting at the LN doorstep clamoring to get in.
