Pros

The people are great, very friendly, and genuinely want to see you be successful, you get GREAT training on digital marketing but you don’t get training on sales. You when you cold call, you don’t really know what you’re suppose to say.

Cons

This isn’t really a good job after college. More so for people who never went to college and looking to get their foot in the door and climb the ladder from there. The pay is trash, I made more working at a restaurant. Commission is okay but even with commissions and base pay, I can’t see you making more than 35k the first year, yikes. Micro managed, everyone takes a fifteen minute break at 10:30, everyone takes a 30minute lunch at 12, and then a 15 minute break at 2:30pm. It felt like I was in jail.

Your feedback about digital marketing vs. sales training is appreciated. We have some enhancements to our training coming this year that are in line with what you are mentioning. The first year compensation for entry level sales can far exceed 35k, but it’s very much performance based. As for the scheduled breaks, it’s not meant to be micro-management; it’s part of the culture that we work together and often play together. As of now, most people are working from home, so it’s not as much of an issue. We listen to our people and are always open to new ideas. We appreciate your contributions and wish you the best in your career.

Pros

The environment and moral was amazing. There are amazing managers there that help you when needed and try to keep you motivated.

Cons

The pay and salary was not all that I expected. I felt drained after every shift between having to have 50+ calls/ and 2 meetings a day plus ongoing training every day. It felt like I was doing a lot of work but the pay was not compensating for it. I was there almost a year and made not even $20k and I worked my butt off. The job listing had around $35-40k. They need to be more realistic with people and let them know exactly what to expect since a downgrade in pay like that can affect someone's finances. There are ALOT of trainings. At first you feel like you are truly just winging the job (because you are). If they taught a lot of the education that is needed during your first few weeks prior to getting on the phones I feel would allow people to succeed more within their first few weeks. Training is only technically a week long and they teach a brief summary of the job/role pretty much into that week. If you've never worked in marketing prior, it may be really confusing to you at first as it was to me. LP also has a really high turn over rate. Although I am thankful for all I learned while at LP< it wasn't the job for me. If you have experience in marketing and enjoy prospecting your own leads all day/making calls and have thick skin, this may be the job for you. Benefits were decent!

Thank you for your feedback and for everything you did while you were at LP. I’m concerned about the compensation part you mentioned. Our sales pay model is performance-based, but we have an hourly rate that, without any commission, should have equaled the amount you mentioned in about 9 months. I’m not sure if the timeframe might be off, but I’m going to look into this further. The first year compensation we mention on job postings is recent, and it’s using all available data. At the end of the day, I’m sorry it wasn’t a good fit but I’m happy to hear you enjoyed your team, and that you found the environment to be positive. We appreciate you and wish you all the best going forward. -Mike
