Pros

- Fun people to work with - Some senior staff is very firm on fixing the subpar work place issues and will fight for you

Cons

- Work culture described by Director as "This is a place that has built in crunch, we need people who like to work" - No accountability for mistakes made by long time staff - Senior and Leads with less than 3 yoe and no leadership skills - Fear of being fired - Lack of how games are made by game team leadership - Mandatory in office work is only for some members and decided on hire - Nonsensical deadlines - Lack of growth or training for staff - Dangling a carrot to keep staff on board saying "things will be better" - No end of year bonus or raise

Pros

- Youthful atmosphere - ground level coworkers are generally really good

Cons

- They will try to pay you as little as possible and are nowhere close to industry standards. - All the money goes to upper management, who is paid much better than industry standards - top level leadership barely has experience. - Projects are about money and merch first, not about building a good game. - Marketing wins over design - you’re guaranteed a job if you have a friend in upper management, skill is barely a requirement - Promotions to top level are based only on how well you can talk - Leadership will downplay or dismiss your issues - Toxic positivity, leadership will try to say there are no issues. - Anyone attached to the movie deal is immune to consequences regardless of how much they hurt the studio - We were asked to write positive reviews in an all-hands meeting - leadership is full of personalities and makes people regularly feel gaslit and stressed - PIP’s are doled out for no reason, or threatened if certain directors don’t get their way - frequent arbitrary decisions made that actively handicap development efforts

Pros

I've now been at Mob for almost a year now soon, and I have been having a great time with not only the games we're working on, but also with the people. Between leadership and the fantastic individuals that make up the many teams at Mob, I've thoroughly enjoyed working with each and every one of them. The leadership puts forth an active and honest effort at all times to do what's best for not only the company, but the people who make up this company, and the end consumer of the games. This company is full of passion, nobody just clocks in and clocks out, just "doing their job" and vanishing into the background. I'm so proud and humbled by the skill and passion of everyone at Mob.

Cons

It's a young company; it's growing and learning. There are some rougher areas at the company, but they are actively being smoothed out and being addressed. Communication, like in all companies is going to always be a challenge, but with more recent endeavors, the improvement in this area is dramatically noticeable and a huge step forward.
