Horrible leadership

Pros

Met some great people during my time at MTM

Cons

Leadership does not portray the core values of the company. They are quick to react and blame instead of slowing down and asking the correct questions. Technology is sold to clients before they have the capability, putting stress on the IT and Operations departments, forcing them to quickly meet the promises and operationalize on the fly. Leadership states that they want to hear your feedback, but when you speak up, you are shut down, CEO believes that no one is correct except her. Not a collaborative environment.

Pros

In hindsight I can't think of one besides the poor non management folk.

Cons

In my opinion and from my perspective, Everything else. Toxicity. Nepotism. BLATANT bullying. HR negligence. Childish owners who waste money on shiney new things with zero thought.... then cut pay or lay off. 11 managers or sups fired under 1 director. Except one who gets away with verbal and physical abuse. Hmmmm Worst nine months of my personal career

Pros

The 'workers' (non-management) are nice people.

Cons

Nepotism across leadership. Creates fear and distrust. VPs and senior mgt related to each other. People walk on eggshells about who they can talk to. CEO has many family members in leadership. Don't expect help or leadership from management. Instead they prefer to blame their team in a wide, highly visible audience. Berate their employees rather than train and groom their performance. Managers have little training/experience. Their ability to lead and actually manage is a frustration-people feel they are left hanging. The company is about 10 years behind in technology and business processes. Additionally, salaries offered are what people made 10 years ago. It felt like I was working with high schoolers. I know nothing will be done about these core issues and failures. They are losing clients. Don't depend on stability. The CEO said, "They hire slow and fire fast." Bravo. Perfect example that MTM is not interested in people development. They would benefit using issues as opportunities to strengthen employee value. Granted, those that make large mistakes, yes, that is justifiable. But learn to train and grow people. A manager is only as good as his/her team.
