Pros

The company is clearly in a phase of evolution, and significant positive changes are becoming apparent.

Cons

* People can be incredibly odd. Some make racist jokes, HR fosters toxic competition by offering swag as prizes, genuine care and concern are nonexistent at every level, and management displays an astounding level of rudeness. * There’s no room for growth here. Although a career ladder is outlined, it’s not implemented in practice. * This company doesn’t plan effectively, and deadlines are consistently missed due to poor preparation. * The company culture is: being rude to each other.

Thank you for your candid feedback and for the time you spent with us over many years. We're sorry to hear that your experience was not always a positive one. While we’re glad you saw signs of positive evolution at the company, we take the issues you've raised very seriously. Disrespect, racism, or toxic behavior is never acceptable in any form. We are continuing to strengthen our expectations around workplace behavior and psychological safety, and we encourage anyone who has experienced inappropriate conduct to come forward so we can address it directly. We are deeply committed to building a company where people feel respected, included, and able to grow. We appreciate your years of contribution.

Pros

None. They don't have anything proprietary built, they just use third party systems to build apps on top of them for few healthcare insurance payers. Nothing Novel in this company.

Cons

CEO is rude and act like a dictator, along with him his buddies who are long time employees. They will shut you down during meetings, in slack messages and even in all hands. Every meeting is a stress for engineers, Specially for new engineers that involve name calling, long arguments and critical about your ideas. If you float some new ideas, all long term employees will come together to stop you. They don't like to change. In couple of years, they will force you out of the company and keep all long term employees.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience at Machinify was such a difficult one. That’s not the culture we aim to build or the environment we want anyone to feel part of. We value open discussion, debate, and technical rigor—but never at the expense of psychological safety or respectful communication. We’ve worked hard over the past few years to evolve how we collaborate, and we have trained our teams to provide useful, actionable, fair and constructive feedback in a way that prioritizes impact and improvement. We have a strong mission and ambitious goals to transform an industry, and we believe the only way to meet our goals is to collaborate as a team, and share our thoughts openly and candidly. We are sorry if there were instances where you felt this was not the case. We also believe that good ideas should come from anywhere, new hires and long-time employees alike. While it’s true that we have a group of early team members who’ve been here a long time, and therefore have a lot of knowledge - but our engineering culture has become more inclusive and more welcoming to diverse perspectives as we’ve grown and scaled our teams, and we also have invested a lot of effort to document institutional knowledge so information is accessible to everyone. We understand that not every experience at a fast-growing startup will be positive, and we’re committed to learning from tough feedback. We appreciate your contributions during your time with us and wish you the best in your next chapter.

Pros

PTO Benefits Working from home

Cons

All the changes that keep happening every week has been stressing my colleagues and I so much. Our income has been slashed the potential to move up or to a different department has been impossible. Many supervisors that had been in that role for years were demoted. We get paid less but the work load is exhausting the quality has took a HUGE hit. Many carriers and attorneys have been threatening to stop working with us because of the customer service not because it’s our fault but because the files keep going to other analyst names in a span of 5 months. It’s a sad situation I really wanted to retire here I loved this company and I had so much motivation to kill it and make them so much money. The motivation is gone I unfortunately do the bare minimum because the pay doesn’t change no matter what. Shame on upper management for doing this to us we have a families! I keep hearing rumors that they are trying to make this company all nice and tech savvy to resell so just be careful applying with high expectations.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We understand that this has been a difficult period of change for some team members, especially in roles that have experienced direct operational shifts. It’s never easy when long-standing structures are reorganized, and we acknowledge that these transitions have created stress and uncertainty for some parts of the organization. We're listening and taking concerns seriously as we work to stabilize our processes and support impacted teams.
