Pros

You truly have an open line of communication with the executive team and leadership team. Great opportunities within the company for growth and development. Bonus structure is awesome! Very easy to buy into such a great environment. Corporate is transparent in where the company is going and what our goals our. Best choice I made in coming to MTR.

Cons

Nothing bad to say. Coming up on 2 years of employment and haven’t had a bad experience.

Not worth it

Pros

Benefits are decent. Pay is par to industry. Really nothing more that can be said about pros for the company.

Cons

Horrible training and development. Anyone above leasing is completely out of touch with modern changes. Major disconnect. Managers on the community will show up late and leave early. Feedback is given without any actual fact. Every manager who gave me feedback had never once met me prior. If you have experience it will not be valued. Anyone with an opinion that is not direct from the Mark Taylor Handbook is considered Insubordination. You won’t be paid enough to live on property (even with your discount). Definitely not worth it.

Pros

Company always hires from within. Lots of advancement opportunities if you work hard but also if you kiss butt to upper management. Lots of fun activities for employee, holiday happy hour and spring picnic with volleyball tournament. Bonuses are good if you work hard for it and your property has a good budget, all depends on who your owner is!

Cons

Some of the cons are the hours, 9 am to 6 pm plus later if tours come in late. Lots of customer interaction including dealing with angry residents. I think your experience working for Mark Taylor has a lot to do with who your manager is.
