Pros

Better than being an adjunct.

Cons

-Pay is okay when you include the tuition waiver. But is very low compared to other major universities. -Paper work failures can cause delays in pay. -Very little prep before teaching. Undergrads probably have a terrible experience. -Limited connection with lecture professors. -Huntington is a special kind of hell as far as small towns go.

Pros

People in West Virginia are very nice and getting free gear while working in sports.

Cons

Constant change and disorganization, also staff is expected to do a TON with nothing while getting pulled in different directions with no clear objectives. Plan to work CRAZY hours and I mean crazy with no nights or weekends to yourself. If you are in a relationship or married you will end having to choose between your significant other and the job. The AD was newer when I left so I am not sure how things have progressed but the Marketing and Ticket Sales Management were an absolute joke!

Plenty of opportunities for professional development through seminars and trainings. Great benefits package. Great feeling of unity amongst faculty/staff.

Cons

Very minimal financial assistance with furthering your education.
