Pros

I worked here while I was completing my undergraduate and graduate degree. It is nice to get paid for doing research as an undergraduate and I have worked for 6 months after I graduated.\ If you work with a good professor, then you will enjoy it.

Cons

The pay is low as you expect while you are working on your degree. They make it very difficult to get a raise. If your professor wants to give you a raise then they have to show that you are doing more work. Also, always get your payroll form in early because it will be sent back at least once. You could submit the same payroll form that they accepted six months ago, but they will say something is wrong this time.

Pros

Good Work-Life balance. If you are from the surrounding area, there are not many other choices around. If you are the initiating type, there are chances to build a good resume.

Cons

Isolated island in terms of scientific research. There are some good things happening but nowhere close to as in a metropolitan hub. Too relaxed to bring any positive change and compared to other ranked institutions. Learn what you have to and get out. Not for people who want a fast paced environment.
