Pros

Flexibility Responsibility Teamwork Own office

Cons

As a store loss prevention detective you’re required to get number based statistics for internal and external thefts. The company will harp on whether or not you have had these cases. The anonymous tip line is utilized for associates to come forth about dishonesty. These cases are essentially hand outs for detectives so they do not have to initiate cases. The manager can give these cases to whomever they see fit. Do you see what I am saying? These cases can be given to favorites amongst the detectives. Therefore a detective who is not initiating their own cases or is having trouble finding one may not have a single internal case. Subjecting them to a bad review for the end of the year.

Pros

The management at my store was somewhat understanding of my college schedule however it took me always having to remind them that I am a student first then their employee.

Cons

They wanted you to always be available for them and be as flexible as possible when the benefits and pay dont match up to the work you put in.
