Pros

Unlimited approved paid time off

Cons

Matic claims that one of their core values is being inclusive to all people, in their terms “Bring Your Weird” and there’s an emphasis on the “everyone is welcome here!” thing. This could not be any further from the case. If you are not complying to every single thing that happens to you and happens in the office, they will shun you and start pushing you out at full force. They have a very flawed business model, yet all they seem to care about is production. The vibe in the office is similar to a high school where there is bullying, gossip, cliques, and immaturity at the forefront of the workplace... Coupled with that, the joke of a people operations department operates as if it pretty much doesn’t have any structured plan and is run by people who if you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was their first time in a people operations role. There is a total lack of any type of quality assurance team. Employees are held up to individual standards that differ from the person you’re sitting next to who’s doing the exact same role as you. People are praised for being deceptive to customers, as long as it looks good on paper numbers wise. They allow bullying and harassment and they pick and choose who they give punishment to and what for. Some people have good experiences at Matic because they are chosen to be liked. If you’re not chosen, you’re out of luck! If you decide to work here, be prepared to have zero reactions to anything negative that goes on and don’t dare speak up! or else! This company lacks appreciation, transparency, consistency, empathy, values, morals, ethics, fairness. I could go on but we would be here for hours! The only people who are ever promoted are those who are favored in specific ways. Internal applications for promotions are sometimes literally ghosted and never even given feedback, even if the person is still working in the office! There is NO excuse for that. Or anything of these things. Run as fast as you can.

Pros

Wednesday lunch. That’s about it.

Cons

Toxic manipulative culture. No diversity. A sinking ship struggling to survive in the tough market. Managers have no experience in management. Poor leadership constantly hiring and laying off people. Average 6 month employee retention period (managers 2/3+ years).

Pros

Unlimited PTO, free medical insurance for employee only., future stock shares if it goes public within 4 years or so.

Cons

Low salary, low commission, lazy management, lots of turnover from the top down, CEO is part-time. You must sell 60+ policies and home/auto bundle rate of 25% or more for 3 months straight or they will fire you. Don't have a completive product for auto in a few select market. Alot of bait and switch leads from mortgage lenders. Market to cities and states were either not competitive or only have 1 carrier that will write business. Major carriers either putting restrictions on Matic on what they can write or Matic loosing appointments to write new business. Matic makes statements saying they care about the employees, and have you fill out multiple surveys but in return they don't listen. Constant change in commission structure. They favor agents who get rewarded with top tier leads, and let the bottom agents sink. No movement in growth or career advancement. Only advancement is a customer service rep to an agent. They want to get to a certain volume within 4 years or so then sell the company. No matching 401k.
