Pros

Weekly pay, clean environment and on site clinic.

Cons

Unfairness, cliques in management and human resources that undermine the corporate agenda. Too many active members of the good old boy network. Not a very ethical place to work considering the religious facade. Most of supervision and management were selected from a shallow pool. Not performance based, jobs are given due to personal friendships and internal cover ups.

Pros

Great pay, bonus yearly. Home time is better than other CDL positions but this job is unlike other CDL positions. You unload the trailers physically demanding job.

Cons

Management and supervisors reward bad behavior. Favortism is rampant, dangerous drivers with bad attitudes that can’t keep a partner are treated with more value than hardworking friendly drivers that don’t call in. Extra trips are given to favorites and drivers with poor driving records.

Pros

They tend to do well in bad economic times. People will always buy cheap snack cakes. Stability, many long-term employees. Decent pay scale.

Cons

While OD McKee was alive, and while his sons were directly involved in the company, innovation was encouraged and praised. Once the third generation took over, OD's catchphrase "There's a better way. Let's find it!" has been quietly set aside. Nowadays, it's run just like any other heartless, clueless megacorporation, with the exception that (seriously) God is claimed to be its ultimate guiding force.
