Pros

MemberSuite has done a fantastic job recruiting top talent and promoting a great company culture. There truly is an A+ workforce here and MemberSuite puts a lot of effort into making it a fun, positive work place. Above that, pretty much every employee is willing to go above and beyond, not just in their job role, but to help all other colleagues in any way. It's actually pretty remarkable. In the past year and a half or so MemberSuite has also brought in some key Executive/Management hires which has made the company much more effective internally and lent itself to us accomplishing some major product evolution much to the delight of our customers. MemberSuite makes sure to embrace the "work hard, play hard" mantra that start-ups love to claim. There are a lot of company outings, celebrations for milestones, and holiday parties etc. to help show appreciation for the hard work we put in. Outside of the people and the culture, the product is robust and the company is committed to innovating the platform as well as the industry as a whole. When I first joined, MemberSuite was beginning to find footing in the marketplace - now it is successfully going upstream and acquiring much larger clients which is very fun to be a part of. Everyone has their hands in various aspects of the company. You will find that even though your job role is to do one thing, you'll be involved in all other parts of the organization whether it's to give input on what customers want, help come up with new ideas for the product or participate in brainstorming activities on how to accomplish internal goals. You're never restricted to just doing your role day in and day out. There's tons of transparency all the way up to the top as well. Executives like to have one on ones with all employees and Andrew (CEO) has provided a completely anonymous way for employees to ask any question they want him to answer. He makes good on this promise by answering each question in front of the whole company during our monthly meetings. I appreciate the gesture very much.

Cons

The product is complex and can be challenging for some to learn. If you're not willing to take the time to learn the product well it can be a hard place to succeed (depending on your role). You need to be a go-getter who is willing to get their hands dirty and learn the product. Career growth can be a challenge at MemberSuite. It doesn't always happen quickly but if you put in the work and clearly perform at a high level the company will help you get to where you want to be. I have seen many people move within the company from one team to another. For example, there have been plenty of cases where individuals have moved from a customer facing role to a Product Management role to help improve the system based on feedback, etc. As the company continues to grow I suspect this will improve. You will be faced with challenges daily. The product is robust but it is not perfect either (no software is). No matter what aspect of the company you work in you'll be dealing with imperfections of the system - either fixing them or handling customers affected by them. At the end of the day, that's why jobs exist in software companies.

Pros

Hard work does pay off. Management is continuously recognizing those who go above and beyond. When 1 person succeeds, we all succeed. True family environment. The unlimited PTO is great as well.

Cons

The product is very complex. Not necessarily a bad thing but you need to have a true willingness to learn. The best way to learn is to be hands on. If you are lazy, do not apply.

Pros

- Flexibility (work from home days, unlimited PTO, no questions asked if you need to leave a little early or come in a little late) - Employees are very friendly, smart, and easy to work with. There's a real family environment present - Great software that can make an impact in the association space - Senior leadership is very transparent and has big goals set for the company

Cons

- As with any startup, there are some undefined/inefficient processes that need to be figured out - Can be challenging working with non-profit executives as your target market (budgets/timelines/board approvals/etc)
