Pros

You are surrounded by educated & ambitions colleagues .

Cons

They use fear tactics, having you sign a contact to pay back the sign on bonus when in fact that is illegal in the state of CA , FYI ( you wont have to pay them back )The majority of employee's are put on a PIP contact at one point or another that last a month , this is were they will make you work 10-12hr days to "prove your self " If you get a bad client , you're screwed the quotas are extremely difficult t attain . Work environment is unprofessional , management is manipulative . The amazing training that they say they offer is really you listening to an audio type the first week. Followed by 30 min new hire training twice a week , The people that are teaching it often are not even hitting quota themselves. This company has no code of ethics, I doubt they will be successful in the silicon valley for very long the way they are currently operating.

Pros

Great work environment, very interactive coaching and fun incentives to hit your goals. Also, a great way to get a top sales position at tech companies in Virginia.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. Memoryblue is all about coaching and learning. Therefore, some of the work you have to do will be hard and not necessarily the "easy" route, but it's all for your learning.

Pros

You are surrounded by loads of people very similar to yourself and can leverage their skills to really make yourself the best salesman possible. You You'll get to work with the major high-tech trending technologies such as data storage, cyber, cloud, etc.. and be prepared for the next level

Cons

If you get put on a PPM client, you're screwed. They don't put any effort into the firm and the reps on the accounts are literally booking meetings for no purpose. Aside from that, depending on client turnover, you can make it through your entire memoryBlue tenure without ever earning a raise or receiving a bonus - and at their salary, it is not enough to live off of. The culture has steadily gone downhill to where their "alumni" program isn't even a sought after achievement, most of the SDRs I worked with wanted to get out of the door by any means necessary after 3-6 months

Thanks for posting your anonymous feedback in this forum. The SDR role at memoryBlue is without question a tough and highly rewarding opening into the world of high tech sales – a very difficult world to crack into. We’ve had a hand in placing over 200 Alumni in that sales world so far and that number is going up every year. In fact, we’re currently posting a series of interviews with some of these standout sales pros on our blog highlighting how valuable their careers in this profession have been (and what starting at memoryBlue meant to those careers). The training, experience, knowledge and skills our early-career professionals receive carries incredible value as our employees launch into this space for good. Blaming a lack of sales success on bad luck is certainly anyone’s right, but it would seem hard to believe that a rep was expecting raises and hefty bonuses when their performance led to high client turnover (which sounds like was the case for you). Maintaining a focus on employee growth and business growth go hand-in-hand here and we are proud to do both at all times. We do hope you’ll stick with sales and find a place where you can work hard and hustle. In this profession, you’ll make or break your career based on the effort and commitment you’re willing to put in.
