Pros

Meritage is a company with a strong set of core values - we believe in doing the right thing - One of our leading core values is "Start with Heart - we don't always get it right (no company does), but we always make it right (or try to)! The leadership is committed to creating a best in class culture which means growing and developing our talent each and every day! We are still evolving and this is a work in process, but we are trending in the right direction - up! We are a culture which cares about providing the best possible level of service to our customers (both internal and external) and we have seen great strides in this area in recent years as gauged by our AVID customer satisfaction scores. We are also a company which is committed to giving back to our community and being a socially responsible employer - each year we build several new homes for the Operation Homefront organization, providing new homes to fallen heroes of our military - we want to give back to the communities we build in!

Cons

We have grown a lot in the past several years and will continue to do so moving forward. With growth comes a lot of change, new processes, and adaptation which needs to occur. The pace of change can be very fast here, and we need to be sure we provide the right support moving forward to allow everyone to be successful during times of high growth. High Growth is a good problem to have, but it does create challenges.

Pros

Looking at the opportunity to develop the Tampa market. once we have better land position we will be able to recruit first class sales team. having fresh management in place with new ideas and allowing us to try new things will benefit Tampa to generate sales.

Cons

Currently there are many obstacles , construction needs to be held accountable, which is starting to happen. and processes need to be followed. Meritage has procedures they just need to be followed. Weak land position currently .
