Pros

Good coffee machine. I wish I could say more, but there is nothing else.

Cons

Intolerable and unapproachable leadership. Not poor communication, its worse than poor. No new business, Methode is banned from current customers (all of them) Massive lay offs based on salary, keeping only low pay jobs and little to no experienced personnel.

Pros

Weekly payroll and 401(k) contribution

Cons

No idea from where should I start as I have so much to say. Worst management, worst company’s culture, no work life balance, they even make you work on weekends without any comp-off or overtime pay, no job security. They go on quarter on quarter profits and they can let you go overnight if they are at loss. 20% pay-cut and no paid holidays for months to save the company due to tough time in COVID saying that they’ll try to not let anyone go but they did layoffs three times in 9months. There business model is acquiring small companies and then let subsidiaries’ people go and takeover everything at corporate, resultantly subsidiaries’ employees lose their jobs. No respect for employees at all. Join this company, only if you’re left with no other option in the world.

Pros

Methode offers flexible working hours. Methode's Southfield office is centrally located. Methode's HQ is near Chicago. Traveling to corporate isn't terrible.

Cons

Short advice: Methode will probably be worse than or equivalent to your current job. Do yourself a favor, do not accept a job offer from Methode - wait until something better comes your way. Long answer: Methode is a small company that tries to act like a big company. Consequently they do not have appropriate resources to drive initiatives. The same resources are utilized for every project - from cradle to grave. The position you interviewed for is probably not related to company growth/expansion - it was probably posted because someone quit. At Methode, you will be told to "complete a task" - without the appropriate training, resources, templates, or examples. You will be told to "do what you think makes sense." After completing the task, you will be told "you did it incorrectly." Then you will be told to do it again (without appropriate guidance). This leads to a ton of engineering rework. Methode does not incorporate checks-and-balances between its groups. In other words, the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. This is obviously a result of extremely poor internal communication - both between departments and within departments. Critical information is regularly lost, not communicated effectively, or not communicated at all. This deficiency is a direct result of a very political atmosphere. Upper management operates with a "Good-Old-Boy" mentality - you will probably not by promoted unless you can wedge yourself into the "Good-Old-Boy Club." If you do accept a position with Methode, my advice to you is "don't trust anyone there." Several employees (management included) try to make themselves look good simply by making others look bad. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all work together to achieve our goal as efficiently as possible??? Do not expect this mindset at Methode. One last comment here - negotiate the highest salary you can. Your raises will not be tied directly to your performance. The process for determining raises is not really a process - if the right people like you, you will get raises. I was told when I hired-in that my position was a "bonused position," yet I never received a bonus.
