Pros

From what I have heard from coworkers it is better to work for compared to temp agencies Pays well for industry They hold lots of office events, but they are all focused on drinking and partying. If you don't like drinking a lot then not the environment for you Drinking is highly encouraged by management, even at work If you play the game and are successful at your job, then you are rewarded and promoted

Cons

Sexual Harassment Management is all male and very misogynistic Not a company for women Company hours are 8:30am-6:30pm, but good luck leaving that early If you aren't playing their game, then management will take your revenues If you want to have an opinion work anywhere else Management are all bullies and manipulative Bonuses depend on how much managers like you

I want to assure you that we have a strict code of conduct at PageGroup, including a zero tolerance policy for discriminatory practices. This is enforced at all levels throughout the business as it is important that we all lead by example. We promote a diverse, inclusive and equal workplace, which means that whether it’s a candidate seeking work through us or one of our own employees, everyone is valued and respected and their selection for recruitment, training or promotion are always based on merit. If this kind of behavior is taking place, all staff are encouraged to raise it with their line manager or HR team to resolve the issue. I invite you to contact me directly to discuss your concerns in the hope that we can improve the experience moving forward. Thank you, Richard Vickers, Regional Managing Director. +1 212-672-6955

Pros

Strong base salary (for some) 4 weeks starting vacation beautiful building ability to make a lot of money, well the top 20% at least (manager, directors) amazing people the training program is awesome... join just to take the training classes

Cons

long hours, 730-7 is no joke (hence the number of vacation days) very KPI driven discretionary bonus - get ready to use the negotiation strategies they have taught you to haggle your bonus high turnover

Pros

If you're young and like to drink, you'll have fun. If you can last 5 years you might be able to snag an open manager or director position and can make decent money.

Cons

Shady business practices, favoritism, rude leadership. micromanaging. Long hours. Job candidates are manipulated and generally not treated well - if you're accomplished in your field they'll absolutely send your resume to every competitor in town (which has gotten people fired). I've seen job seekers be intentionally sabotaged for not working with the firm. The whole business model relies on the good faith of the candidate sharing information they otherwise wouldn't, like references and other interviews you've had. And so the most desperate job seekers are the ones who truly keep this business afloat - they'll never get hired or even interviewed, but the information gained in these "screening" interviews is invaluable to Michael Page. To pay back their openness with no followup and stolen job prospects is deplorable - and they do the same to any references sent in. Just manipulation at every level in this company and no respect for the job seekers that keep it alive. I wouldn't ever send my resume to a 3rd party recruiting firm after working here.
