Pros

Use the cut-throat training and apply it to other business practices when you're ready to leave, free booze, free trips, free incentives and money.

Cons

No work to life balance. Don't plan on exercising or getting into those late night cyclying classes. Normal core hours are 8-6pm but leave on time and you become shunned. Arrive on time? Same spiel. Unrealistic expectations, management has no training or background to train or develop consultants, and don't expect to remember names. Those peers will be gone before you know it. Similar to 3 strikes and you're out. Here its 3 months and your cut. This place isn't has insane as new york. That's where it's lit. They want to hire good people out of college but management dont realize that they're not helping anyone succeed by forcing unrealistic expectations and intolerable working conditions.

I am very disappointed to hear that you have had such a negative experience during your time at PageGroup. Ongoing training is provided to all staff and we offer continuous development opportunities throughout their careers. I’d also like to stress that we are a results-focused business that measures performance based on output not hours. We give our staff the flexibility to work in a way that enables them to perform at their best. I would be keen to catch up and take on board your feedback to ensure we are continuing to make PageGroup a great place to work. Please reach out to me directly. Thanks, Richard.

Pros

If you're an alcoholic or embody the fraternity/sorority persona, then sure. If you're sane and value mental health, work/life balance, family time, and self-respect then take this as a blessing - run away! They tend to recruit alot of europeans from the rough/industrial part of the woods without much etiquette and training. Most don't even have degrees higher than HS Diploma. I feel sorry for our clients because they're just being manipulated to thinking that this is the best quality work - when in reality - we're just scheming them.

Cons

Management is so horrendous. Within one year, I've seen over 35 people leave a single MP office in North America. You might get a few decent managers, but it's all about who brings in the most revenue. Do not trust anyone. I made that mistake. People will gossip, back stab, and walk over you to get what they want. Oh, be prepared listen to vulgarity, unprofessionalism, racial remarks, and discriminatory statements - even from upper management. You will have NO time for a life outside of work. The standard days are 8am-6pm. You'll get a disapproving vibe if you arrive on time at 8am and don't even think to leave by 6:30pm - if you're lucky. This company prefers you to find something to do in order to kill time even if you've finished work by 5:30pm. You have an hour lunch,. but you better time it right. Bonus? Yeah, sure. Discretionary. It's all dependent on your manager and I've seen multiple managers pocket more since they're greedy and don't feel the need to be transparent or disclose that value to any employees. Most of these senior managers/upper management are fairly young and didn't receive proper training - so it will impact the entire team. I wish the recruiter, who most of us speak with to nail this job, was more honest and upfront with me. THEY WILL SELL YOU THE DREAM - just to leave the company after a few weeks. I am not exaggerating. I wish that I was - you're value is based on performance metrics and numbers. It's just a numbers game. Help yourself. Something better will come along. Do not work here. Some of the senior management don't even have anything pass a HS Diploma.

Not Worth It

Pros

Good pay, potential for a lot of $$, makes you feel self-important to wear a suit and work in a nice building -A lot of drinking in the office and very social outside of office. Good for young people to mingle and meet new people, make friends

Cons

-Really bad management structure. Managers also have personal target, so it can create a conflict of interest and breeds an unhealthy competition. -Not a lot of patience with training or ramp-up. They decide pretty quickly to let you go if you aren't producing. -Long hours; expectation is from 8am-7pm everyday, and that you 'dont leave before your supervisor' -KPIs are rooted in volume without any consideration to quality. -Very unhealthy environment. One of the worst jobs and worst companies I've ever worked at.

There are challenges and pressures working in any sales environment and I appreciate this doesn't suit everyone. We try to identify people who will thrive in recruitment by undertaking a thorough talent acquisition process and being honest about the challenges that can arise when you work in a competitive industry. We continue to improve based on feedback from our employee engagement surveys and firmly believe in a high performance, high trust environment which focuses on output as opposed to the hours that people work. I invite you to contact me directly to discuss your concerns in the hope that we can improve the experience moving forward. Thank you, Richard Vickers, Regional Managing Director. +1 212-672-6955
