Pros

Cute products Good hours (unless you’re a student who needs time for school) That’s really it. This is a terrible company to work for.

Cons

We are UNDERSTAFFED. So you will be expected to do the work of at least 2 workers on minimum wage. You’ll get yelled at if you don’t. No discount. Nothing at all. NO HOLIDAY PAY We are paid less than we are supposed to be paid At the end of our shift, we are expected to clock out and keep working (SUPER ILLEGAL) Shift leads get paid the same as cashiers when they should be getting paid more They expect way too much from part time workers who are students trying to juggle school too Corporate and management is extremely disorganized They will blame the sales associates for the poor performance of corporate and management

Pros

You make great friendships while suffering together.

Cons

Literally Everything. Managerial issues, Very high standards for low pay, they treat employees very poorly, and it is such an unhealthy environment. I can go on and on. If I could give zero stars on everything, I absolutely would.

Pros

Some coworkers are cool and great to work with. It’s a fast-paced environment that allows you to wear many hats. Can promote quickly on the retail side. After working at Miniso, you will appreciate future companies and bosses you work for.

Cons

The COO has created such a hostile environment that no one seems to have motivation to move the company forward. Some business decisions being made make no sense, and there are so many process/operational/structural changes without allowing enough time to determine whether a change would be effective before making a new change. The COO will constantly tell you to “do better” no matter how hard you work. He also thinks that he can get anything he wants and just tells employees to make things happen without giving you enough time to finish a task. We have to use wechat, dingtalk, and email to communicate, and it’s annoying. Stores are struggling to survive with labor cuts, and turnover has been high even at the corporate level. Pay is not reflective of the amount of work employees put in and there are no opportunities for annual increases (no formal review system). There’s “growth” in a sense that you can learn and pick up more tasks, but you’re not really rewarded with pay or promotions. You also need to always “prove” yourself, whatever the hell that means. Benefits are expensive and we don’t get any vacation days. I can go on and on but I’d end up writing an essay.
