Leadership infighting is obvious to the team Head of HR is reactive and highly inconsistent Managers are not skilled in how to manage Top heavy, I'm sure they are paid very well Lots of haphazard layoffs over last 5 years Office location is so hard to commute to! Juniors are paid $50k a year and not permitted any overtime

senior leadership is completely detached from and inexperienced in managing creatives and treats individuals like they are disposable. very little to nonexistent growth (both in roles and compensation). Studio and creative teams feel completely separate from the rest of the company. No inter-departmental communication or transparency, despite teams being significantly thinner due to covid layoffs.

* No Manhattan office/Brooklyn office is too out of the way, although it is a very nice space once you're there

An incredibly unstable environment that causes mental health issues across the production team. Behavioral issues among senior staff are never resolved as they set up others for failure. It’s embarrassing how low they will go to preserve an unhealthy environment. Ego and desperation are the driving forces behind the operation.

There are very few benefits

The company was vibrant and energetic under the old leadership over 5+ years ago. Once the Tesla executive came in, it became top heavy, overly ambitious, and management just diminished a successful operation that was already running well. Management wasn't listening to concerns of issues that were disrupting operations until it was too late. The focus on an enjoyable workplace diminished almost entirely, and the energy was depleting. I've heard folks on different team complain about a toxic culture within their departments. People team leadership is inefficient and supportive the way it used to be under other leadership. Who does one turn to within the people team if the leadership is inadequate??? I had a lot of hope for things to change here. They got rid of the salesman CEO and brought in seasoned Brick & Mortar blood to operate an ecommerce company...make it make sense here.
