Pros

Fast-paced team adept at changing quickly. People here work hard. There are opportunities to advance and further develop professionally, if you make it a priority for yourself. We are accountable, and our team has high expectations for performance because the programs we administer are demanding. This workplace isn't a good fit for those who don't want to work hard, quickly adapt to change, or have difficulty receiving feedback they receive. This is a very transparent, employee-focused organization, and I'm proud to work here. Great benefits and other perks like onsite gym, and Cafe.

Cons

Finding a work/ life balance can be challenging. Employees are a little spoiled, but is that a bad thing? Some processes not efficient, but improving.

Pros

The company leaders talk about values and serving the under served. Many jobs do not require any education therefore no glass ceilings for people without college degrees. New employees love Molina - they are paid fairly, they believe in the Molina lip-service, they haven't been exposed to the incompetent FOM's(friends of Molina). Great place to get some experience then go to a "real" company.

Cons

Compensation is not transparent and external candidates are treated better than internal candidates - the disparity between the two continues. They are a fortune 500 family run company with many "FOM"s - Friend of Molina. The FOM's are untouchable - generally not qualified to do whatever position they are in and simply another layer of nonsense. It is a top heavy company where the Peter Principal is apparent at every turn. Advancement opportunities require relocation to Long Beach, CA

IT dept. is a terrible place at Molina

Pros

Molina has decent salary and benefits. The owners (Molina Family) are good people. Great company if the current management in IT changes.

Cons

The IT department is very toxic. Mostly non-us citizens, just about everything is outsourced. The top Sr. management is Indian and big believer in sending all jobs to India. Most US citizens have been slowly demoted or laid off. There is a lot of waste of resources and buddy system protects many corrupt mid level managers who were implanted by the new Indian management. Stay away from IT - no matter what.
