Pros

It's a work from anywhere company

Cons

They control every second of employees, even when sick, no trust at all. Questions are not welcome, even if something is not clear. They started adding requisites to the job description and expected everyone comply with it, even when the initial description when hired was different. Authoritarian new managers with no experience. Not many career opportunities in CR.

Many smart, kind people in Middle Management and down

Cons

It's difficult to see any career growth unless you suck up to the core leadership team. Multiple layoffs, poor communication, leaning WAY too hard into AI

When I started decent company

Pros

Worked with some really great coworkers during my time at Movable Ink. Others were very willing to collaborate and mentor each other. It's a good product for marketers that are ready to use it. Particularly a good product for the enterprise space. Good work-life balance. In terms of startups a slower moving company in terms of progression which was good for work-life balance.

Cons

Complete lack of vision for outbound management. When I started there were about 10 BDRs and when I left it was down to 4 BDRs. No clear path to promotion, multiple people passed on promotions who were higher performers due to tenure. Small TAM. Movable Ink is a great product but a company needs to be set up with other tech tools to be able to properly use it, so there were many unqualified meetings due to that.

Having hands on and engaged managers is part of our core values which is why we provide learning and development opportunities for all inkers, and specific curriculum focused on managers. Additionally, we strive for 80% of our reps to hit 80% of their quota; in fact, several reps overachieved their quota last quarter!
