As independent contractors we were forced to give up our status as independent contractors to become corporate employees and we took a huge pay cut. Currently if you’ve been there for a while they take anywhere from 34 to 36% of every half hour student you teach and a new person it’s 40% During the pandemic when we all went virtual they continued to take that percentage out and as the pandemic begin to subside they threaten to take away our students in the midst of forcing us to become corporate employees if we did not come back to the store. In the past of the many years that I have worked for Music And Arts and I’m sure many of my colleagues will agree when there is a rate increase for lessons some of that gets passed on to us and Music And Arts did a rating crease at the beginning of this year used our names as the instructors but pass nothing on to us. Along the way they keep changing the login system which makes it very difficult because it changes after you get used to one way it stops working and they just changed it again.
