Pros

on a good day, can be fun to work at. I don't dread going to work. Travel and event support opportunities. League is active year round so its never slow.

Cons

pay is subpar while increasing responsibilities. Management tends to give priority to "time served" employees not necessarily to competent ones. my group has gotten a bad reputation with other groups so anyone new is viewed as incompetent before they have a chance to prove themselves. Management wants to have the brightest talent to compensate shortcomings but then keeps a tight fence around the talent. There are too many chiefs: Coordinator, Sr Coordinator, Asst Mgr, Mgr, Sr Mgr, Asst Dir, Dir, Sr Dir, Asst VP, VP, Sr VP, Exec VP, Asst Pres, Pres, Sr Pres, Exec Pres... how many high paying, high level people are needed to do the job? Its confusing and costly

Pros

Some of the brightest minds in the sports world are working here, makes for a great environment. People are passionate about what they do, which is inspiring.

Cons

Nobody ever retires or leaves, so promotions come very slowly. Also, very bureaucratic, so don't expect anything to get implemented quickly.
