Pros

There are very few pros to this place. Leaving was one of them. There are some folks working here that are great, but many people here are only here because they couldn't get a job at Burger King.

Cons

Management is the number one problem with this company. Horrible morale. Unrealistic personal goals. An utterly dystopian environment. When they acquired the Colorado bank, they removed many of the best people and kept too many people that should have been fired for incompetency. Act as if the only intelligent people work out of Kansas City, yet the Kansas City HQ is rife with worthless "lifers" that only support other worthless "lifers". Little grasp on the notion that regions have unique aspects and should play to the strengths of those regions. Think that they are a big bank while having no respect or concern for their front line employees or small account holders.

Clueless public company

Pros

Very little management oversight so there is no micromanaging. If you do your job the management will leave you alone.

Cons

Highly political and mgt is like a soap opera. No one can make a decision and a basic decision requires input from a lot of people/groups. Sr mgt says they listen to their employees - not the case. As a prior failed institution, Bank is afraid to do new loans. No support from the Consumer Mgt team - very high turnover and Mgt does not care.
