Flexibility No More & Losing Hard Workers

Pros

Camaraderie between department is a pro, and the hybrid policy was a pro but that has quickly been stripped from workers. Company garden & cafeteria, sometimes.

Cons

Out of thin air, CEO decides for everything to go back to ‘pre Covid times’. Meaning no more hybrid work and no more remote work. This has been more of an incentive to lose very good talent and get folks to leave because of the ‘no lay off’ policy. Quite frankly, this rule is reducing morale drastically, and people are quitting which is probably what he wants to reduce costs. CEO does not value workers, and the “lean but not mean” culture is quickly disintegrating. Every decision is made from the CEO, which is just unreasonable. Upper management is like a child and the CEO is the parent and every one wants to be the ‘golden child’. It is a disgrace how some departments are not treated fairly and others get to pick and choose what policies they abide by. Pay is also below average and career progression is at a low.

Pros

Some very good people working very hard.

Cons

NTCT is led by the founder for 40 years now. No one can tell him his 'baby is ugly' -- everything that's wrong is sales, the marketplace, the customers, or something else - yet the company does not innovate because they are paralyzed to act unless the CEO say yes or no -- and he changes his mind constantly. Product rationalization is basically done on a whim -- there is no market analysis, no true product lifecycle product management, and no rationale behind decisions other than simply, 'it's what the CEO thinks." Company hides behind an idea - even a book - that falsely states NTCT culture is amazing and friendly. Reality is its only as nice as the CEO - and he's wishy washy, flailing about indecisive, delaying everything because his answer to all problems "only I can fix it." HR is not pro-employee -- they are a part of the cult drinking the kool-aid. The only significant growth in the company's history has been via mergers and acquisitions -- not organic innovation. Product is old, and innovation is simply repackaging and slapping new labels on the same product and calling it a $50M idea. The senior management is very old and no exciting or motivating succession plans exist. No raises. No promotions. Stock is given based upon company performance. They like to brag about compensation for employees but vs industry averages they are way below.
