      All fluff, no substance

      Pros

      Pay was relatively good for the amount of work, and strangely best IT systems of any company I've used. Used to have good perks like free lunch and 401k contributions, but those were taken away by the corporate raiders

      Cons

      Terrible, image-focused management. CEO Mauricio is fairly sharp, but all the rest of leadership are just empty suits. Bosses are inept and even cruel at times. Little opportunity for growth. Expect to spend the majority of your time formatting slide decks. In a nutshell, all the smart people leave, and all the brown-nosers get promoted.

      Pros

      NRG is a stable company with a stable executive management structure. Payout is almost guaranteed if an employee is on an AIP bonus structure. The scorecard metrics are designed to be obtained. A minimum of an 100% payout is to be expected.

      Cons

      NRG is an ops heavy company that lacks the vision and structure to support dynamic sales organizations. Sales efforts are often hampered by sales leadership that has no practical sales experience or understanding of sales beyond academia. Top tier sales talent is often driven off.

      Lots of favoritism, management lacks accountability, many silos, needs more tech integration.
