Pros

-Working outside -Was able to go in whenever I wanted, as long as it was somewhere between 6am and 11am -Flexible hours, workdays only lasted as long as my workload. Hours were mostly determined by me and how much I had to do that day, rather than a regular 9-5. Came in handy if I needed extra hours, I could stay longer and find more to do. -MANY breaks are encouraged because of working outside in the heat -My district manager was awesome, super nice and got straight to the point when it came to training.

Cons

-When it is hot outside it gets ROUGH. Drink tons of water, you'll need it lol -NGS management can be VERY lacking on communication -Kroger Floral management at my store complained about everything they could to my higher ups IMMEDIATELY without even trying to talk to me about anything first, and a lot of the complaints were heavily exaggerated. It's worth noting I got told multiple times daily by customers how good of a job my coworker and I were doing out there. Can't say this about every location, but it's worth mentioning because these last two cons ultimately led to my resignation.

Pros

You're able to be flexible in the time you work it's either so much work you can't handle it or not enough work to keep your people having hours.

Cons

The company is run by a man who still lives at home with his parents. That aside, the wages offered—especially to managers—are not fair or consistent. Experience isn’t recognized equally, and despite having more qualifications or time on the job, employees are often paid the same. Merchandisers, in particular, rarely receive raises, and it’s incredibly difficult and frustrating to secure one for them. While bonuses are occasionally given to managers and leads, the merchandisers—who are doing the bulk of the work—are frequently overlooked and undervalued.
