Pros

The scheduling of your work hours can be flexible with your personal life as long as you work your 40 hours a week. My co-workers are very supportive and help me brain storm and handle caseloads. Free CEU's are provided with NYAP training's, so within the first year of obtaining my LSW, I've earned 40 CEU's at no charge to me. Vacation will carry over. Paid overtime will start in December 2016. On call for 2 weeks every 3-4 months instead of less time more often. Supervisor is always on call.

Cons

Medical coverage isn't awful but it's not great. Extreme amount of paperwork and regulations and rules always changing. High expectation for productivity and billable time with clients will always be stressed and will sometimes overlook non-billable clients. NYAP has no legal power so it can be very frustrating when working with Counties that make the final decisions. Management is overwhelmed and will not return paperwork in a timely manner. Pay is too little for amount of work Treatment Coordinators are given at the job.
