Pros

Was able to work remote?????

Cons

When I was remote, I was not included in any of the communication. I felt like the illegitimate child. Management acquires companies without the structure to integrate the newly purchased products. We competed with ourselves. How stupid!!!!! Cerner rewritten. Management was all recruited from Cerner and still have no idea how to incorporate that philosopy into the current environment. Work expectations were unreal. Supposed to be available 24/7. Pay was terrible.

Pros

It's a job so it's better then unemployment. The non management staff are generally great to work with.

Cons

Just about everything. Incredibly low morale. Constant executive drive-bys. If you are not in the KC headquarters your contributions do not matter and you are pretty much ignored. Pay is bad for the work expected. Management drives the most skilled and knowledgeable people away leaving people to do several jobs without the time and resources necessary.

Pros

MANY products and potential large marketshare but bigger is not always better. Benefits are adequate, one paid volunteer day is allowed. New building is nice as long as you don't have to work at a row of tables.

Cons

New management and ownership within the last couple years with the promises of much better things to come. It hasn't trickled down to those doing the work, doubt it will. Staff is extremely overworked, stressed, loyal and been given the promises of raises/bonuses that haven't come. Mgmt preaches 'People Matter' but I've not figured out which people matter, it isn't hard working staff, it must be the board members. Companies are acquired and products sold without anyone knowing how they work or interact with other products or if they'll work with core products. Clients are extremely unhappy, sales have slowed and sales staff have had their compensations cut. Upper managment has come from Cerner who has a terrible reputation of burning out their staff. It's terrible to see the same happening at Netsmart.
