Sad but True

Pros

Not really sure what to write here. I guess if you are lucky you may have a boss who isn't in the same building as you. Oh I forgot, you can wear jeans, that's always nice

Cons

Well I am not sure where to begin. Netsmart is truly a lost company. Sad to say that even as recent as a few years ago it was a great place to work. This company is extremely bloated with their "ring of power" executives who all seem to have their heads in the sky and never on the ground running. Even middle managers, who will step on a co-workers neck to get to the top, rarely put in a solid days work. They schedule thousands of meetings to make themselves feel important and accomplish nothing. The products or "solutions" are vaporware at best. If a prospect claims they want something or need something they are sold a vision and told to sign their life away with nothing but empty promises coming their way. If you quizzed the current employees at the company about their products and what they serve, the results would be scary! Every good employee that once called CMHC/Netsmart home has left the company, many of them within the last several months. It is obvious to everyone that the executive team is putting lipstick on a pig until the company is sold. Netsmart is not paying their bills even remotely on-time, if at all. They are trying so hard to appear like a player with having multi-million dollar "parties" for clients constantly. As if CONNECTIONS wasn't enough of a joke, add in 3-5 exchanges while you are at it. The money is being throw around but watch out when it comes time for a merit increase for the hard working employees. I have never worked at a company who cares so little about the people who work there. I really hate to give a review like this since as stated before, it USED to be a good place to work. Honestly, the whole situation is very sad, so many good people gone, and for what? So a company can pretend they are something they are not........ " A good place to work "

Pros

Good environment. Good Management. Good people. Bright young people. Trying to move forward in a positive way.

Cons

Like stated above Trying to move forward in a positive way but too often only management jobs go to ex Cener ties, terminology is like Cerner, company is being run like Cerner. Pay is below average. There is a reason everyone is willing to leave Cerner.

Needs A Reality Check...You're Not Cerner

Pros

If you're young and looking to put a company on your resume then this place will suit you until you no longer stand their fake smiles and 10 year old and out of date practices. They also offer good benefits with a lot of vacation/personal time but you will need every bit of it to stomach the place.

Cons

The software Netsmart sells is pure garbage. The only thing they did right was buy Defran. They try their hardest to be just like Cerner while talking trash on Cerner and hiring everyone ever fired or no longer with the company. There's a reason why certain Cerner management didn't advance or develop a fulfilling relationship with the company - they were incompetent and had a lack of vision. The CEO of Netsmart is a puppet who is so out of touch with his own company. His pitbull/enforcer is a blubbering fool that everyone talks about behind his back but kisses his behind to his face. Their software is buggy and over 50% of their clients are mad as can be that they drank the kool aid and bought it. Speaking of the kool aid - If you don't buy into their false sense of happiness and 'family' they will surely show you to the door no matter the level of work you do. They act like high schoolers and if you're not in the cool kid click then your nerd a$$ will be sent packing. They lack technology and insight into the future and rely on their good ol' boy club of networking to develop their technology, sell products, and market. Their marketing is a joke. Don't bother to like their Facebook page or follow them on Twitter as it's just mindless spam. Don't sign up for their emails, again spam. Their website is something out of 2001, that is if you can find it on the web, then if you can good luck navigating it. It reads like Chinese stereo instructions. All in all it's horrible place to work for with poor management from the CEO down to directors. The only people who make a difference are the underpaid entry level folks who are there to survive paycheck to paycheck.
