Just not worth it

Pros

Average Pay Benefits are above average as is PTO.

Cons

Be ready. You'll be interviewed based on the job you're applying for, then switched to whichever role they have a need for. This seems to happen to people over and over. You will finish with one project and then be moved to a different team even if you don't have the skills for the next role. Then it becomes your fault when you don't perform up to management's expectations. The disfunction within this company is amazing. Some management resorts to bribing other departments with booze just to get anything done. Four main offices include Overland Park, Dublin, Ohio, Great River, NY and NYC. Each office seems to be pitted against the others. Nobody wants to cooperate, just point fingers when something goes wrong. They're too busy trying to be Cerner, but then telling everybody that they're different. You'll only be viewed as above average if you're from Cerner. You won't have any work/life balance and it will feel like a major victory every time you leave work before the sun goes down. The culture was great a few years ago, but has gone sharply downhill as of late. The number of poor reviews here on GlassDoor is evidence of that. Bottom line... There are many better jobs out there. The company itself is growing and looking up, but they are doing it at the expense of everybody below sr. management.

Pros

Not much. Decent 401k match.

Cons

The preach culture and caring about employees but don't walk the talk. Fired people during the pandemic (not financial reasons) Pushed out merit increases an additional quarter claiming its in employees interests so we can continue to deliver work. Then on a 3 week notice, they switched to Flexible PTO model wiped out employee's unused pto accrual, not paying it out, and added a bunch of rule that made it significantly harder to actually take PTO. Then to really stick it to us they claimed it was for the benefit of employees mental health. Im not making this stuff up. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. They also switch insurance providers every year which is a headache. They are owned by multiple PE companies and are looking to cut $ wherever they can... starting with their hard working employees. Pay isn't terrible but its not as competitive as other companies and even worse when you consider their benefits. Which seem to be dwindling away. If you were just acquired by netsmart, as most of the companies outside of KC are from acquisition, get out ASAP. Terrible communication, terrible team work between teams, and again they will do anything to cut a buck at your expense.

Very negative culture

Pros

Travel, can work from home on some teams, many products to choose from, and I don't have any more .

Cons

Culture of shaming and blaming others, not collaboration. Decisions are made purely based on short term profit, not long term viability of the products or relationships with customers. During the sales process, customers get all kinds of detailed attention but once they buy, they are basically ignored. The list of lawsuits from customers is embarrassingly long. Employees are treated as expendable, regardless of their experience or value. It's more important to agree with management blindly than it is to bring forward new ideas or innovations. Basically, everything they say about their culture is exactly the opposite of reality.
